About me...

My father started my interest in photography, at the age of 6 he started letting me take a few snaps with his camera.

After we had amassed a few films I would watch him devolving prints in the darkroom and after a number of years the table was turned, he used to watch me. Still giving advice as most fathers do!

I had used my father’s camera mostly until I brought an Olympus OM1 and after a couple of years I got an OM2 as well. Over the next few years I amassed a good selection of lenses for my Olympus cameras.

In 1998 I sold my Olympus gear and brought a Canon OM3 with a couple of USM lenses, and then I started to replace the USM lenses to the professional L series lenses.

I had now been scanning my negatives with a Nikon Coolscan 5000 for a number of years so you could say I was partly digital.

In 2005 I brought a Canon EOS 1Ds mk2; I decided to have the full frame camera to keep all my lens ratios the same.

I am interested in all types of photography but my favourites are landscapes and Steam Engines.

Thanks for looking
